Introduced in 1958 ahead of the Peaks, the EE Type 4 Diesel-Electric soon proved its worth, notably on the Eastern Region where steam was being rapidly replaced. This book tells the story of their service lives, from the first pilot engines, through later batches to their final withdrawal.
