Wrecks & Relics 22nd Edition

Described on the front cover as “the indispensable guide to Britain's aviation heritage" – and accurately so. I have reviewed so many successive editions of this wonderful book that I am beginning to run out of adjectives and superlatives to describe it. So, I'll turn to its back cover where I am told that within there are over 750 locations where aircraft fitting W&W's criteria may be found described and that these are made up of more than 5,000 examples of 700 aircraft types, be they airworthy, out of service, projects, replicas, derelict or simply dumped and forgotten. There are many photographs, all in colour, showing the whole range of aircraft covered from pristine airworthy and museum exhibits to the, frankly, wrecked and everything in between.

The book is a brilliant reference source if you are visiting an area and want to know what you might find there aviation-wise or, in conjunction with earlier volumes, a method of tracking the movement of airframes around the country over time. Indispensable? - absolutely! Worth £18.95 of any enthusiasts money.
