With apologies for the delays, but we think it will have been worthwhile!
Former finescale modeller and lifelong Southern enthusiast Jeremy English has put together a 112 page book of prototype, model, and some decidedly 'off-beat' ideas to hopefully cater for all tastes and choices.
With a blank canvas as a starting point and no pre-conceived ideas he has covered such choices as architecture, rolling stock, stations, types of train, locomotives of course, as well as thoughts on how to make your model both look and operate more akin to the prototype. In addition there are photographs showing you how some of the recognised experts in the field have achieved a high degree of realism.
Looking for an excuse for an unusual engine / stock formation? You might well find it here.
Written in an easy going style this is a book that should find a place on the shelves of every Southern Railway / Region modeller - and with the promise of more to come in 2013.
