Volume 5 in the closed lines of Britain (Impermanent Ways) series features the county of Somerset - but excludes the 'Somerset & Dorset line which is well covered elsewhere ('Sabotaged & Defeated' series.) Vol 5 covers the parts of the former LSWR main line within the county as well as the area from Chard to Yeovil and Taunton before moving north west to Bristol and then back to Taunton for Minehead, the West Somerset Mineral line and the Barnstaple branch.
